TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR FIXMYRIDESHARE AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR SERVICES

This document outlines the terms and conditions governing the provision of automotive repair services by FixMyRideshare, hereinafter referred to as “FixMy.”

1. Service Agreement: By engaging the services of FixMy, the customer agrees to the terms and conditions outlined herein.
2. Estimates: All cost estimates provided by FixMy are based on the initial assessment of the vehicle’s condition. Actual costs may vary depending on the extent of repairs needed. The customer will be informed of any changes in cost before the commencement of additional work.
3. Authorization: The customer authorizes FixMy to perform the agreed-upon repairs and services. Any additional work not covered by the initial estimate will require separate authorization and agreement on costs.
4. Parts and Materials: FixMy reserves the right to use new, used, or aftermarket parts as deemed appropriate for the repair. All replaced parts will be retained by FixMy unless otherwise specified by the customer.
5. Payment Terms: Payment for services is due upon completion of the repairs, with the single exception of Remote Inspections, which are paid for over the phone when a “Pass” result is obtained. For other repair and maintenance services (including “Stars” and “Stripes” monthly plans), FixMy accepts cash, credit cards, and other agreed-upon methods. Invoices not paid within the specified timeframe are subject to late fees and may result in legal action for collection. All vehicles are subject to a storage fee of $25 per business day 48 hours after repairs are completed and invoices left unpaid.
6. Stars and Stripes Payment Plans: Customers enrolled on either the “Stars” or “Stripes” Payment Plans must maintain their Plan’s set regular payments for the full 12-month term. Should default occur, all items obtained, including labor rates, will be recharged at standard rates from the point of enrolment and invoices raised for the difference.
7. Warranty: FixMy provides a limited nationwide warranty on repairs for a period of 12 months or 12k miles, whichever comes first. This warranty covers defects in workmanship and materials. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, negligence, or misuse.
8. Customer’s Responsibilities: Customers are responsible for providing accurate and complete information about their vehicle’s condition. FixMy is not liable for any issues arising from incomplete or inaccurate information provided by the customer.
9. Liability: FixMy is not responsible for loss or damage to personal items left in the vehicle during the repair process. The customer is advised to remove valuables from the vehicle before leaving it with FixMy.
10. Delays: FixMy will make reasonable efforts to complete repairs within the estimated time frame. However, delays may occur due to unforeseen circumstances. The customer will be notified of any significant delays.
11. Remote Inspections: Remote inspections carried out for the purposes of fulfilling the requirements of TURO, Uber, and Lyft operators are conducted on the understanding that the items checked follow the respective organization’s (TURO, Uber, Lyft) extant checklist and that said checklist is both current and accurate. FixMy’s qualified inspectors only interpret “Pass” or “Fail” results on this basis. The resultant reports are generated using the respective organization’s own forms.
12. Dispute Resolution: Any disputes arising from these terms and conditions will be resolved through mediation or arbitration in accordance with local laws.
